An interesting statistic has caught my attention.
23 males per thousand get married every year.
Fair enough, but then comes the interesting bit.
20 females per thousand get married every year.
It doesn't compute does it?

When it's a same sex ceremony we call it a Civil Partnership. Doesn't that sound all straight laced?
The figures quoted were, as I understood it, for traditional marriage ceremonies, you know where a bloke and a girl get all dressed up, invite all the uncles, aunties, long lost relatives with loads of dosh to fork out on the Jamie Oliver frying pans, invite somebody totally inappropriate to make a speech, get bladdered, start fights, pass out comatose before the bouquet has been thrown... yeh another good Saturday night.

Yes it does compute; three men married three other men or doesn't that happen yet in England?
