The Governments plan to bail out the Banks by buying the dodgy mortgage portfolios off them with taxpayers money looks very like a scam I once dreamed up in a comic fiction. A city whizz kid type devised a scheme to sell people their own houses.
Now in the Government's plan we taxpayers are going to buy our own houses so how about a referendum on writing off the interst?

Noticed? My life borrows from fiction all the time Ros, but the fictional character I created, Schlocky, is so insane I though "surely none of this rubbish could ever come true?"
My serious writing het a long pause after the literary agen who had taken me on had a serious mentsl breakdown after reading Schlocky's. I had so many letters saying "you're good and if you were a celeb we would take you on like a shot" that I gave up.
Now Lulu.com are distributing from the UK I'm getting back on the case. 30,000 words into Schlocky's 2 - The Last Party On Doomsday already.
And with King Harry's Codpiece and the Myth of Democracy ready to publish and Bastille Court only needing a final edit I'm well on the way to being an International Best - Seller.

....And then sue everyone who tries to make money out of your creation! 
What gets me is if 'we' lose our homes, savings or pensions, we're told we knew there was a risk, and no-one bails us out, even if it's the money-men who've caused it, even swindled it, but when the real gamblers, those who enjoy playing with the markets, come a cropper, we pay to bail them out, and they get to keep all they accrued. What the fuck is that about?

Absolutely right. Which is why I'll be telling people to vote for "None of the above" come the local elections.
We need more mavericks who are willing to ask the difficult questions and keep asking until they get an answer.
