The Plagiarising Psychiatrist

Consultant psychiatrist and popular television talking head Dr. Raj Presaud is on trial for plagiarism. Presaud stands accused of copying stuff from other psychiatrists published work and including it in his books as his own.

In an attempt to explain how so much of somebody else’s book appeared in his own titles Presaud blamed “computer errors.”

If he thinks computers are really that intelligent perhaps he needs to see a shrink.

I wonder if the computer fessed up and told him it had performed an allegal action and needed to shut down? I don't copy chunks of other people's material yet my computer must tell me that at least once a week.

  Yeah but you don't really want me to explain what is going on - it will hurt your head. It hurts mine and I worked with the bloody things for twenty odd years.

  Ah but couldn't we apply that pphilosophy to many things in life, getting drunk, skipping paying the bus fare, having children?

    You know as well as I do nobody gets drunk by mistake, not even once. You may not intend to get drunk but someone usually intends to get you drunk, usually to make it easier to get inside your knickers.

  As we are talking about plagiarism I migjht as well plagiarise Oscar Wilde.
  To cut and paste one chapter is unlucky, to cut and paste two begingsto look like carelessness.

Perhaps he was suffering from multiple personality syndrome and thought he was somebody else, therefore he was merely copying his own work.
