Well we have a duty to comment on the news and of course Boggart Blog is unrepentant as usual. And let's remember he has done his time and will be put on a sex offenders register and motiored.

Too many tabloid editors seem to have forgotten that justice is tempered with mercy.

Would it not be more humane of the politically correct brigade to direct their anger at the social workers who are happy to give jobs in carehomes to paedos and then submit vulnerable, frightened children into their care? Its just hypocritical to make this pathetic old man a scapegoat as we turn a blind eye to the failings of the system.

  Maybe so, but it has to be all or none. And if its going to be all that includes a couple of prominent politicians and dozens of prominent businessmen, lawyers, showbiz celebrities etc. etc.

    And I don't think many people would be surprised at the numbers who get away with it ...
    
    Paedophiles might be moved to make their career choices according to their sexual preferences... it might be a subconscious choice at first...
    
    But they become opportunists who manipulate and damage the helpless as and where they may... they are already pathetic and they all get old...
    
    And some of them will get caught, money, celebrity or influence notwithstanding...
    
    And we will be glad...

      And some of them, like that odious character I met a few weeks ago, will choose to live in earshot of the park swings and the police will tell us off for daring to wonder if we should at least tell parents about it.

        yeah, I had a similar experience with one who used to hand around a path near a playing field. My son and he mates told me about this guy.
        
        When I went to "have a word" the first thing they guy said was he'd done nothing wrong and if I touched him he would go to the police. Obviously he had been in the situation before.
        
        And they talk about employing Crime Prevention Officers.

      What I object to is these people (usually shinks) who say children are sexual beings and we can all be tempted. I remember once lying in the garden wearing shorts when my daughter, about four at the time, jumped on my bollocks. There was nothing sexual about it. It was very funny though, or so other people present said.
      
      My attitude to children now is that while I did a pretty good job of bringing my own up I think other people's infants are a great argument for cloning and keeping the products in incubation pods for eighteen years. There is nothing sexual about the squawking little snot factories.
      
      I dont thing people are predisposed to paedophilia as they are to homosexuality so Mao style re-education could work. On the other hand these are hard times economically and the world is overpopulated so as Del Boy says we could just kill them. but we have to kill them all, not just the ones the Daily Mail and the Currant Bun don't like.

      I think we are lacking the compassion and the holistic vision required to begin to deal with the problem.
      
      This lynch mob mentality is blind to the fact that many of the pedos they want to swing from the nearest oak; were themselves subject to vile abuse as children.
      
      As such they are psychologically scarred casualties acting on unresolved impulses which require intensive specialist therapy in a safe and secure ( for them and for the children) environment ( not the big house).
      
      Creative solutions to this challenging problem, actioned within a secure environment is the only answer short of locking them up forever, chemical castration ( which only represses the problem into being expressed via more dangerous outlets such as child murder ) - or execution.
      
      ... and that went out with witch-burning - didn't it?

        Actually in this civilised land of ours we did not burn witches, that was the barbaric Scots and Les Crapauds perfides a travers La Manche.
        
        We used to throw accused women off church towers or cliff, duck them in ponds or pile very big stones on them. And only if they survived those trials were they pronouced guilty of being servants of Satan and given a very civilised hanging.
        
        If they did not survive they were buried without a stain in their character.
        
        Oo-er, poor old Gary doesn't have a chance does he?
